Japan’s electronic company Panasonic released officially the ‘Face Unlock’ feature in India for its Eluga Ray 700 smartphone on Wednesday. This feature also comes in the iPhone X.
The Panasonic Eluga Ray 700 device was launched in September last year for 9,999 rupees. It has 13 megapixel sony’s IMX back camera and 13 megapixel next camera with flash. It has a 5,000 mAh battery.
Pankaj Rana, head of business, Panasonic India (Mobility Division) said, “The response time of this feature is very fast and its accuracy rate is more than 95 percent compared to the pin or fingerprint sensor.”
The company said that although the facial recognition feature has not been made compulsory and users can lock / unlock the device with fingerprint sensor or other traditional methods by their convenience. Users can get this feature by installing latest updates in their handsets.
